Tour Edge Jmax Iron Woods – A Good Beginner Iron Set
Tour Edge Golf has become a fairly major player in the hybrid wood market as of late. Their JMAX Iron-Wood has a slightly different design than some of the other hybrids available, but it has become a popular choice with golfers.
Take one look at the JMAX golf clubs and you will notice one thing right away… it’s big! The sole is huge, the top line is fat and it looks more like a stubby driver than a “traditional” hybrid… if there is such a thing. The club is a two-piece construction; a Hyper-Steel body and a thin face. So what’s up with the interesting design? The JMAX Iron-Wood is designed to hit the ball high… and it does.
The club also has a very high MOI (moment of inertia) which means it stays stable on miss hits. The thing that really separates this club from any other is how it is available in 13 different models. You can get the JMAX Iron Woods from a #1 (16 degree) to a LW (60 degree). I have had a few customers get complete sets of these but the #2, #3, #4 and #5 are probably the most common.
The stock shafts are good and are good for an intermediate player. There are some custom options available but I don’t think I have ever needed to look at them.
With the Iron-Wood, it has never been easier to hit higher, longer shots that stop on the green. The Iron-Wood’s weight and incredibly low CG (center-of-gravity) help to create a higher MOI for much added forgiveness. To give players the higher flight pattern they need, the Bazooka JMax Iron-Wood has a two piece, ultra-thin cast body constructed from hyper-steel.
The face, skirt and crown on the clubs are made as thin as possible and then structurally supported with three internal reinforcement strands. This allows the sole to weigh up to 120-grams and gives the Bazooka Iron-Wood one of the lowest CG’s available in an iron today. That’s a major accomplishment.
There is no denying, this club can greatly improve your iron play. Can you imagine being able to hit your 3-iron as easily as your 7-iron? You now can when using the Bazooka JMax Iron-Wood.
In Conclusion: The Tour Edge Jmax Iron-Wood set is a MUST have for any golfer who wants to make significant savings on those tricky long iron shots.
