I have been a golfer for many years, but I had to learn how to improve my golf swing. At some point I was so frustrated with my handicap that I even considered quitting. Now I am glad that I spent that time and learned how to properly swing. You can also do this. Before you do that, read my story!
I can still clearly remember when I first begin playing golf. I went out and purchased a set of clubs, shoes and bag and various small items. I was excited to start playing right away.I was religiously going to the drive range in order to improve my swing. I didn’t even know of the different techniques I could use to improve my swing at that time!
Once I felt comfortable at the driving range, I begin inviting friends over to play golf. Even though I wasn’t playing that well, I was enjoying myself. I took initiative and took some lessons. Also learning how to improve my golf swing quickly, I noticed I needed to get some good tips to improve my overall performance. I always did well in lessons, therefore realizing that I appearently didn’t require too much advice. I was told that the more I played, the more my technique would improve.
The lessons helped somewhat, but my golf score wasn’t improving that much. So feeling frustrated, I stopped the lessons. I wasn’t really getting that much help anyway. I continued to play golf, even though I hit a fair share of sliced balls. This kept up for a few years, I kept playing because I enjoyed the game so much.
A little later I ran into a friend that I hadn’t seen in years. Turned out he was a golf pro now! Once I was determined to improve my handicap, I began picking his brain.
