Then you know it’s time to start practicing and fix your golf swing.

When you are practicing your swing, it is really helpful to have another golfer watch you. They can offere helpful insights to get them corrected.

A really good way to fix your golf swing quickly is to practice the following.

Check your grip first and ensure that your left thumb is lying along the shaft. Then wrap your right hand over your left, while your thumb fitting into the cup of your right hand. (If you are left handed, please reverse this.)

Work on your stance, try pointing your knees inwards slightly. Ideally, your right foot should be pointing straight ahead. Slightly position your left foot to the left.

Try to get your arms and elbows as close together as you can. You will want each of your elbows to be pointing directly over the corresponding hip.

Try to start your backswing with your hands, then follow with your shoulders and arms.

As the downswing begins, rotate your hips back toward the ball. As your club makes contact with the ball, your left wrist should be pointing at the ball.

These pointers will do wonders in helping you fix your golf swing. At first you may have some trouble with them, but in time they willl become natural.

If you are playing with a longer length club, it would be wise to start with a wider stance. Again a shorter club is best used in a narrower stance.

Another way to fix your swing when practicing is to lay a club on the ground which is parallel to your target line. This will help you find out if you are aligning yourself correctly. Many golfers put this technique to use when out hitting practice balls.

Try practicing hitting imaginary balls at home, as it can also help your swing. Practice with your grip pressure. Try to see if a lighter grip will allow you to hit straighter. Sometimes it is a small thing that has you hitting balls in all directions. Practice your basics first, then move on to the more advanced moves.
